Alcohol and Drug Rehab for Men
Studies have shown that separating sexes during addiction treatment increases the chances of successful recovery. Design for Change Recovery believes it’s important to give men their separate space in order to achieve full recovery without distraction.
If people are distracted by the opposite sex, they cannot focus on getting healthy. This is why we provide specialized men’s addiction treatment in Lancaster, California. Taking the first step into sobriety is the most important step anyone must take in order to achieve a substance-free life, so distractions are counterproductive.
Early sobriety is difficult, and confusing, so adding a new relationship is an unnecessary obstacle. Clients need to focus on themselves, not worry about building and maintaining a relationship.
Men and women are biologically different. Men have different ways their bodies’ process drugs and alcohol, and different reasons they started using in the first place.

Our center gives men a safe space to express themselves free from judgment. They form camaraderie with each other, and form supportive friendships. They can relate to each other because all of them are walking a similar path.
